Alpha Packaging is completing the installation of three additional blow-molders, which adds up to a total of 20 new machines that the supplier has installed in 2012. Some have replaced older models, but overall Alpha now has 12 additional machines, and $35 million invested in additional capacity compared to last year. By the end of 2012, Alpha will have 180 machines operating at seven different manufacturing sites across North America.

So – exactly how will its customers benefit? Alpha will now have the capability to to manufacture duplicate blow-sets across different manufacturing sites. A company can order bottles from a location that’s closest to its filler — saving on transportation costs, as well as time.
